The Bruce Peninsula Environment Group (BPEG) elected four new Board Members at their Annual General Meeting  held on May 3, 2023 at the Lion’s Head Rotary Hall.

Joining the Board are Bridget Rosser, Heather Bryans, Chelsea Vieira and Branden Kellman. Returning for another year are Rod Layman, Wendi Schwindt and Joanne Rodgers.

Keeping with tradition, the AGM was preceded by a Potluck Supper and social time. Rod Layman, Chair of the Board, welcomed the membership  and gave an overview of the activities of the existing Board and members over the past three years of COVID-19. BPEG was involved in a wide range of activities from Road clean-up with BPDS students, to work on the Climate Action Plan and Earth Day events and offering bursaries to BPDS students to on-going projects such as Natural Burials and the upcoming Seabin activity in the Lion’s Head Harbour. BPEG has also resumed their monthly education meetings.

Layman says it is clear evidence that the Board and members of BPEG are still functioning and active in the Community.
