Last Friday the 100 Women Who Care Grey Bruce made their final donation of the year. The chosen recipient of the November meeting was the Bluewater Education Foundation, which supports the Bluewater Outdoor Education Center. They received a donation of $19,700!!!!
We were so excited to present them with our largest donation yet. They will be directing these funds to their 50th to the Future campaign to increase their ability to create meaningful, outdoor experiences for all kids and adults who attend. We will look forward to hearing from Mike Schwindt (Development Manager, Bluewater Outdoor Education Foundation) at our first meeting of 2023, April 1st. He will share with us about the work they do and how our donation made an impact at the Outdoor Education Centre.
In 2022 the 100 Women Who Care Grey Bruce have donated a grand total of $68,600.00 to four charities in the Grey Bruce community. We have increased our membership over the year by 40 new members.
We are a group of women who get together 4 times a year, in person and on Zoom (Hybrid meetings), each time the meeting is 1 hour and each member donates $100.00 per meeting. Each member commits a total of $400.00 over the year. Next year we will meet in April, May, September and November. We welcome new members to check us out on our website, https://100womengreybruce.ca/, send us any questions at WWCGreyBruce@outlook.com or attend a meeting to see if we are a good match.
