In The Garden: Hints From A Mrs Gardener – Warmer Weather In The Garden

So good, so good, so good to be out in the garden – warmer weather, some rain, and away she goes. My morning strolls with my second cup of coffee have begun. Happy gardener here.

Everything is coming up so quick now and I haven’t even got the gardens cut back, let alone all fluffed up. Hostas are all happy, and all their other buddies as well. The Ferns are absolutely beautiful – love ferns – they’re so proud looking.

Got most of my tools out and ready to go to work. Some of the containers still looked empty, however when running my finger across I could feel little pips starting to pop. Some are just sleepy heads I guess.

The rain sure let the garden know that Spring has sprung “time to shine”. Everything is looking good.

All the little critters are out now… and bad. Sitting on the glider in the yard a little Chipmunk ran up my leg and then just sat there on my chest looking around. I cleared my throat and she ran back down only to come back??? Then a young Squirrel appears and starts to give the Chippy some cheek… and Chippy chases him away??? They kept up their shenanigans forever it seemed. I love my garden – never a dull moment. They didn’t even seem to mind our new pup Cove (3 1/2 yr old little lady, such a sweetie, but oh that energy). Her and our son Scot are a great match.

The garden is calling… so as I have said before “out in the garden I go, to lose my mind and find my soul.”

Happy Gardening,

Joni
