(SOUTH BRUCE PENINSULA, ON) – On April 6, 2022, just after 11:30 p.m., The Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting patrols on the Sauble Falls Parkway, when an officer observed a motor vehicle displaying suspicious driving behaviour.
The officer conducted a traffic stop on the motor vehicle. During the course of their investigation, the officer determined the driver currently had outstanding warrants. The driver was placed under arrest. The officer further discovered what appeared to be a controlled substance on the individual.
The Grey Bruce OPP have charged a 41 year old from Owen Sound with the following offences:
· Possession of a schedule I substance (two counts)
· Failure to comply with release order (four counts)
The individual was released from custody and will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound at a later date.
MULTIPLE CHARGES LAID FOLLOWING ALTERCATION
(SOUTH BRUCE PENINSULA, ON) On March 27, 2022 at 2:16 a.m., the Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a disturbance in the Town of South Bruce Peninsula.
Police arrived on scene and placed an individual under arrest.
The Grey Bruce OPP have charged a 24-year-old male from South Bruce Peninsula with the following offences:
· Assault
· Assault Peace Officer (three counts)
· Resist Arrest
The accused was released and will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound at a later date.

SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE LEADS TO IMPAIRED CHARGE
(GEORGIAN BLUFFS, ON) On March 24, 2022 at 3:41 a.m., the Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on a motor vehicle on Grey Road 1, in the Township of Georgian Bluffs.
Police spoke with the driver and determined that they had been consuming alcohol. The driver was placed under arrest, and transported to an OPP detachment where further tests were administered.
The Grey Bruce OPP have charged a 19 year old from Owen Sound with the following offences:
· Operation while impaired
· Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
· Drive motor vehicle – no licence
The accused was released and will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound at a later date.
OPP SEARCH WARRANTS EXECUTED
(BRUCE COUNTY, GREY COUNTY, CITY OF OWEN SOUND, CITY OF BARRIE, ON) – On March 24, 2022, members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), OPP Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau (OCEB), OPP Investigative and Enforcement Bureau, West Region OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT) members, Owen Sound Police and Barrie Police executed a Search Warrant at properties in Bruce County, Grey County, Owen Sound and Barrie.
As a result of the execution of the search warrants, police seized a quantity of Cocaine, Crack Cocaine, Methamphetamine, Fentanyl and Oxycodone. The estimated value of the seized controlled substances is $81,960.00.
Police also seized offence related property including: digital scales, cell phones, drug trafficking paraphernalia, Canadian currency, non-Canadian currency, three vehicles and two .22 Calibre rifles. The total value of the seized property is estimated to be $40,470.
A 60 year old from the City of Barrie was charged with:
· Possession of Fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking
· Possession of Cocaine for the purpose of trafficking
· Possession of Methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking
· Possession of Oxycodone for the purpose of trafficking
· 2 counts of Store Firearm or Restricted Weapon
· 2 counts of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
· 2 counts of Possessing Firearm or Ammunition while Prohibited
· 4 counts of Fail to Comply with Probation Order
The accused will be appearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound to answer to the charges as required.
