It must take a special kind of courage, perseverance, and intellect to stock, subdue, and capture that “side of the road” trophy ………. our mailbox. I had hoped it would find a place of honour on your wall of captured mailboxes, but instead it was apparently provided with a prestigious spot in a ditch several km away.
It must warm your blackened, shrivelled heart to know that ours, and most of the other nearby destroyed mailboxes, belonged to retired seniors, for whom replacing them is a major inconvenience.
