CARPENTER, Julie (Mary Retia Julette) Carpenter (Fletcher, Aubertin) of Iron Bridge (formerly of Miller Lake and Lion’s Head) passed away peacefully with her family by her side at North Shore Health Network in Blind River on Thursday, September 23 in her 69th year.
Julie was born on December 19, 1951 to Jules Aubertin and Alida Dionne. Beloved wife of Dan Carpenter and lifelong partner of Randy Fletcher (predeceased 2007). Cherished Mom to Lisa (Choo) Richer of Massey and Dan (Bec) Fletcher of Little Current, Scott (Linda) Carpenter of Abbey, Saskatchewn and Jason of Woodstock. Nana and Grandma to Ryan, Emily (predeceased 2019), Taylor, Kennadi, Kori-Rose, Daniel Kai, Kyler, Quentis, Darwin, Kaitlyn, Klaryssa and Bethany. Special GG to Zayden, Jasper and Kairi.
She will be missed by many brothers, sisters, in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends as well as her doll sculpting family. Julie was very proud of the numerous awards she received for her doll sculptures. She loved to spend her time sculpting, sewing, knitting and crocheting. She also loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. At Julie’s request there was no visitation or service and her ashes will be buried at a private service at a later date. In lieu of flowers and if so desired donations in her memory can be made to a food bank of your choice.
