TAVES, Wallace “Wally” William – peacefully at his Stokes Bay home on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at the age of 86 years. Beloved husband of 62 years of Norma (nee Durst). Devoted father of Richard, of Kitchener, Elizabeth Gropp (partner Ed Sauve), of Peterborough, Robert (partner Fay Fudge), of Stokes Bay, and David (partner Cindy Goddard), of Victoria, BC. Cherished grandfather of Stacey (partner Dan), Kevin, Michael (partner Kirsten), Tara (partner Kris), Cameron (partner Kelsey), Whitney, and Dustin; and great-grandfather of Julia, Cowan, Anican, Ivy, and Aubrey. Survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law, Gloria (Redmond), Nancy (Allan), Glenn (Donna), Marylou (Michael), Una, Verna, Sandra, Agnes, and Christine; and his many nieces, and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Isaac and Elizabeth; brothers, Jacob (Irene), Henry, and John; sister, Clara (Roy); and brothers-in-law, Donald, Douglas, and Larry. A service to celebrate Wally’s life will be held on Saturday March 9, 2019 at 12 o’clock at the Cambridge Legion, 4 Veteran’s Way, Cambridge. We would like to thank the many people who supported Wally and I through this long journey that we shared.
