Even with COVID 19 restrictions, there are still many visitors to the public beach in Dunks Bay. This year, visitors are greeted with reduced parking facilities and a $5.00/hour parking fee. However, even with this money grab, there are no toilet facilities.
Our cottage is next to the public beach and we get requests from people asking to use our toilet. We observe many people walking the lane into the cemetery to do their business. Others use the trees behind the beach. This is not sanitary; neither is it welcome by the public.
The municipality had no problem getting their pay machines up and running in a timely fashion. Surely, after several requests, the porta-potties deserve the same prompt attention.
Thank you,
Terry Manske
