The Peninsula Panters hosted their annual Good Times Hockey Tournament over the weekend of February 20 – 22, 2026. This was their 40th year running the tournament as a team.

The tournament is for men 35+, and hosts 16 teams in total. There were 4 divisions, each containing 4 teams. This year the tournament saw a new, younger division as well, created to ensure a full turn out.

Funds raised will be donated back to the arena, mainly to support sports-related activities. In the past, money raised has been donated to athletic programs at Bruce Peninsula District School, as well as the Breakfast Club, both in Lion’s Head.

Each division had a championship game. This year in the 55+ division, the Owen Sound Puffers were 3-0 winners over Turtle Island. In the 45+ division, The Owen Sound Samquanches were 5-2 winners over the Tobermory Merchants. The 35+ winners were the Owen Sound Puffers, who won 1-0 over the Georgegtown Giants and in the open division, the Harbour Cats were 2-1 winners over Dump n Chase.

Prizes for the tournament were donated by local businesses.
