Unexpectedly at Lion’s Head Hospital on Wednesday, April 16th, 2025. Joan Hellyer of Lion’s Head in her 69th year. Cherished companion of Dave Freer for 20 years. Dear sister of John and his wife Nancy of Lion’s Head and aunt of Tony Dadswell (Heather), Eric Langdon (Kristen), Nathan Hellyer (Caitlin) and Jess Hellyer (Trevor) and great aunt of Colton, Bailey, Emmett, Calvin, Declan, Logan, Isla and Kjell. Fondly remembered by Dave’s son Jason, daughter Aimee, grandchildren Kaziah and Zion, brother Glen (Sandy) and sisters Pauline (Doug), Tena (Bill) and Kandy (Brian). Predeceased by parents Pearl (nee Bray) and George Hellyer and brother Ivor. Family and friends were invited to share memories at the Bethel Missionary Church, 18 Ferndale Road, Lion’s Head on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. The funeral service was conducted from the Church on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. Interment Eastnor Cemetery, Lion’s Head.
