(NORTHERN BRUCE PENINSULA, ON) – On August 26, 2023, at 9:08 a.m., the Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), were dispatched to Dyers Bay in the Municipality of Northern Bruce Peninsula for a report of an impaired boat operator. Members of the Grey Bruce OPP attended and located the vessel.
The OPP have charged a 35-year-old individual from Elmira with:
-Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
-Operation while impaired
The accused has been released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on September 7, 2023.
The Grey Bruce OPP wants to remind the public that if you see anything suspicious or suspect an impaired driver on the roadway or waterway you should contact the Ontario Provincial Police or your nearest police authority immediately.
