March 13, 2023 – Lion’s Head, ON: The Ferndale/Lion’s Head and District Lions Club Hockey Tournament returned with a bang this year, after being suddenly cancelled since 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The annual event, held over March Break, saw twelve teams compete in three divisions, with the support of the Lions Club members and local businesses.

The tournament, which has been a staple in the community for years, was once again well-organized and well-attended, with the support of about fifty local merchants and businesses who sponsored trophies and prizes. The Heat n’ Eat Meal Co. also provided steaks for the popular meat draw raffle.

“The Ferndale/Lion’s Head and District Lions Club Hockey Tournament is a much-anticipated event in our community, and we’re thrilled to have it back,” said Lions Club member Wes Bailey, Club President and Co-Chair of the event . “It’s a great opportunity for local hockey players and their families to come together and enjoy the sport, and we’re grateful for the long time support of everyone involved.”
The tournament was split into three divisions, with teams competing over three days for the top prize trophy in each. The games were competitive and exciting, with many close matches and impressive performances from the players.
