PETERS, John – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of John Peters on October 9, 2022, in his 83rd year. John was born in Holland on October 7, 1940 and moved to Canada when he was twelve. He worked many years in customer service in the heating and cooling industry in the Toronto area. Following this he moved to the Myles Bay on the Bruce Peninsula where he was known for his love of the woods, beautiful gardens, wood working skills, kind heart and sense of humour. He will be greatly missed by his partner, Brenda Carroll, his children Mark (Angela) and David (Suzanne) and his grandchildren Nathan, Matthew, Nicholas, Meghan, Cole and Lauren. He will be remembered by his siblings Henrietta and Nellie, mother-in-law Audrey Carroll, his nieces, nephews, friends, Myles Bay neighbors and Lion’s Head Market family. Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. A very special thank you to Dr Diodati, nurses and staff at the Lion’s Head, Wiarton and Owen Sound Hospitals for their outstanding compassion and care to John. The family would also like to thank John’s friends and neighbors who have been so supportive during this sad time.
