Volunteers have been busy organizing the many books, donated to Friends of the Lion’s Head Library, in preparation for the upcoming Used Book Sale on Saturday, August 6 and Sunday, August 7. The sale is being held inside the Lion’s Head Arena and will run each day from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. All proceeds from the sale will help to fund furniture and fixtures for the new Lion’s Head Library. Our goal is to raise $50,000 over the next 4 -5 years.
Books may be dropped off at the Lion’s Head Library on Mondays and Fridays no later that 5:00 p.m. until August 1. Please place in boxes labeled “Friends”.
Anyone who will be attending Lion’s Head Canada Day Parade is welcome to bring their used book donations to the front lawn of the Lion’s Head Library from 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 2.
Volunteers who would like to help with the sale should contact Donna Hambleton at 226-923-1566 or hambleton1@eastlink.ca. Many thanks to all who have already donated! A wide variety of fiction and non-fiction books, all in great condition, have been collected. There is something for everyone!
Hope to see you August 6 and 7!
