SCOTT, Dale – Unexpectedly at home on Jan.13 2022 Dale Ephriam Scott in his 67th year.Dale spent much of his career working in water and waste water, beginning with Mac’s Rentals and later with the town of Stony Mountain and then the city of Selkirk. Dale’s endeavours always involved helping others. He was involved with MacGregor Minor Baseball, he was on the MacGregor rink board and he helped establish the Renegades slow pitch team that raised money for various community efforts. Dale enrolled in photography courses that allowed him to continue helping others through capturing life events. After the passing of his daughter he focussed his energy on raising money for Cancer Care Manitoba through the creation and selling of calendars that highlighted children and their fight. He personally photographed the resilient children that were the focus of the calendars. As time went on, events lead to Dale’s interest in spirit where he continued helping others by educating and promoting alternative healing, spiritual practices and various forms of wellness. Predeceased by his daughter Melissa of McGregor Manitoba,  his parents Dave and Dorothy Scott of Lion’s Head Ontario, and his brother in law Evan of Lucan Ontario. Left to mourn his passing are his wife Sonia Godalieve and son Liam of Winnipeg Manitoba and his son Mark (Erin) Scott. Granddaughters Kayley and Kara Scott of Winnipeg.  Grandson Greyson Knelson (Chantelle) of Winnipeg, sisters Sheila Butchart of London, Sue Burley (Terry) of Owen Sound, brother Doug (Linda) of Ilderton. In lieu of flowers to honour Dale please donate to CancerCare Manitoba, or to the Children’s Hospital. Funeral service was held Thursday, January 27, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. located at the Coutu Funeral Home, 680 Archibald Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba. Pastor John Salumu-Kasongo officiating. Due to the current pandemic situation, the funeral service was by invite only.
