We want to celebrate the recent on line auction/fundraiser that School Council ran to support our school Kids Helping Kids program. Since the inception of this idea back 15 years ago, our students have benefited from community donations, fundraisers and staff generosity.

The Kids Helping Kids idea was born when we realized many families would opt out of school programs and extras when they could not afford for their child to participate. They would also self select to not come that day. Students recognized this and we worked to raise funds to help. We now have the ability to supplement outside agency help and provide a chance for students to participate fully in some of the extras. Really, the most memorable things should not be called extras, as we want all students to be able to access all programs.

The program is set up as an administration/staff partnership that allows us to supply and support for 150$ towards many things. Might be a field trip, maybe holiday gifts for families in need, access to food, school supplies, clothing, gas, gift cards in times of need, and any other supports that are deemed appropriate to support kids.

If you are passionate about this, we always accept donations in return for a charitable donation slip.

If you know a family quietly in need, we would like to know too. You can support a family through us directly and anonymously if that is your wish. You can call me or Ms. Earle and we will gladly help with what we can.

Happy Holidays and know we live in a wonderful community.
