SERVICE – WE ASSIST, NURTURE, SUPPORT

Our regular April meeting had a huge agenda. The Club was preparing for two major catering events and the Conveners reviewed the menus and arranged for helpers. We completed some unfinished business from the March meeting and passed our annual budget.
The Club decided to donate $1,000 to the Bruce Peninsula Family Centre to assist with some badly needed items that were on their “Wish List.”
“C’MON Barbie – Let’s Go Party” Fashion Show May 9th
The plans for our “C’MON Barbie – Let’s Go Party” Fashion Show are coming together quite nicely. Just a quick reminder, it will be held on May 9th in the Auditorium of the Lion’s Head Arena, with the doors opening at 4:30 pm, Dinner at 5:30 pm and the Show starting at 7:00 pm., featuring fashions from Verna’s in Tobermory, Classie Casual Boutique in Miller Lake and The Shops at 84 Main in Lion’s Head. Tickets are on sale NOW at Bear Tracks in Ferndale or by contacting Roberta at 519-374-4110. The cost is $30 for the full event, CASH only please. If you can only make the show it is $15. Tickets will be available at the door, and again CASH only please.
We are so fortunate that the local stores participate in the show and help us to fundraise for various community needs. There will be a Silent Auction Table and again, we are so grateful to all the individuals and businesses that make such generous donations.
