Bruce Harris, a husband, brother, uncle and great-uncle passed away quietly at Victoria Hospital. He was born on Good Friday, April 19, 1946 and passed on Saturday, August 15, 2026 with family at his side. Bruce will be missed by his best friend and wife of 52 years, Donna (MacVicar). He was a brother to Bill Harris and Mary Dodge (Fred Butcher); an uncle to Jennifer Skalski, Paul Harris, Melissa Dodge, Steven Dodge, and Teresa Dodge; a great-uncle to Xavier and Dylan Skalski, Emma and Kyle Dodge. Predeceased by his parents Evan and Laura (nee Whiting) Harris; his sister-in-law Joanne Harris (2020); his brother-in-law Raymond Dodge (1994), and nephew Mike Skalski (2013). Bruce lived his entire life in the former Adelaide Township. Besides cash crop farming and operating a farm drainage business, he was a successful beef producer. He was known for his exceptional work ethic, loyalty to his friends and his subtle sense of humour. Over the years he had many interests; fabricating farm equipment, motorcycling, reviving VW Beetles, hiking, cycling, and reading. The cottage at Tobermory had many treasured memories for the past 24 years. There will be a private graveside service at Strathroy Cemetery.
