In her 78th year. It is with profound sadness that the family announces the passing of Judith “Judy” Ann Lane on January 10, 2026. Judy will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered as a kind, generous, and compassionate woman whose warmth touched everyone she met. Judy was predeceased by her parents, George Russell, “Pat” Kerr and Cathleen Rose “Kay” Kerr (née Hodigo); her sister, Joan Craven; her husband, Edward “Ted” Lane; and her partner, James Belt. She passed away peacefully with the love of her life, Brian Allen, by her side. Judy is lovingly remembered by her siblings, June Wilkins and Gary Kerr (Susan); her cousin and lifelong best friend, Darlene Bradley; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, dear friends, and neighbours whose lives she enriched and who will miss her dearly. A lifelong resident of Woodstock and a cherished summer resident of Stokes Bay, Judy was known for her unwavering kindness, generosity, and positive spirit. She had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel welcome and valued, always bringing out the best in those around her. Judy dedicated her entire career to the Human Resources Department at Woodstock Hospital, where she began working straight out of school and remained until her retirement. Her professionalism, commitment, and genuine care for her colleagues and the community were evident throughout her many years of service. A Celebration of Judy’s Life will be held at her cottage, 175 Tamarac Road, Stokes Bay, on Sunday, August 2, beginning at 12:00 noon. Family, friends, and neighbours are warmly invited to gather with Brian and Judy’s family to share memories and celebrate a life so well lived. Guests are kindly asked to bring a lawn chair and their beverage of choice. Food will be provided.
