1. Call to Order and Disclosure of Pecuniary Interest and the General Nature Thereof

a. Mayor McIver called the meeting to order at 1:00 p.m. and Council members were reminded to disclose any pecuniary interest and the general nature thereof that may arise during the meeting.

a. Doug Jackson and Pat Neuwelt 

Re: Tammy’s Cove Hard Surfacing Request 

Mayor McIver welcomed Doug Jackson and Pat Neuwelt to the Council Meeting. 

Mr. Jackson presented a request, on behalf of 63 residents of Tammy’s Cove, for the completion of hard surfacing on the remaining portion of Tammy’s Cove Road.

Council deferred the request to staff.

Mayor McIver thanked Doug Jackson and Pat Neuwelt for their delegation.

Re: Business Licensing for Bed & Breakfast Establishments

Council asked about the Short-term Accommodation Licensing Program in relation to a licensing policy for Bed & Breakfast Establishments.

That Council receive Report CAO 25-17 Business Licensing for Bed & Breakfast Establishments; and

That Council direct staff to undertake a public engagement process, as outlined within this report, to obtain input from residents, business owners, and tourism parties on the development of a Business Licensing Policy for Bed & Breakfast establishments.

e. Museum Committee 

Re: August 5, 2025, Meeting Minutes

Mayor McIver inquired about the ongoing project at St. Edmund’s Bruce Peninsula Museum.

Parks and Facilities Manager Mark Coleman reported that the building’s windows and side door are scheduled to be replaced in the coming weeks.

a. Mayor McIver highlighted the recent completion of the Tennis and Pickleball Court project at Bruce Peninsula District School.

Parks and Facilities Manager Mark Coleman confirmed that the courts are now open and available for public use.
