Boaters say they were requested to take their boats out of the water at the Lion’s Head Marina after a September 22nd storm caused serious structural damage to the main docks. Ripped from the fastenings, boards from the main dock were pulled up and electrical equipment sheared away from their concrete bases.

Sails were ripped and about a half-dozen boats were damaged.

Lion’s Head Beach was strewn with debris, kayaks swept in by the waves and a boat pulled from its moorings at the Marina and tossed unto the beach.
