WILHELM, Carl – Our family, friends and Myles Bay community have suffered a great loss. Carl passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on Wednesday May 5, 2021. It was way too soon as he had just turned 61 and was thoroughly enjoying his retirement over the last 8 years. We moved up to Myles Bay from Kitchener in September 2017 and his bigger than life personality, great smile and laugh along with his willingness to help everyone made him the immediate go-to guy in Myles Bay and everyone loved his company and friendship.
He was a devoted husband and best friend of Lori (nee Brown) for 37 years. Dear father of Brandon (Melissa), and Cameron (Emily). Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will take place when circumstances allow. Lori, Brandon, Melissa, Cameron, and Emily wish to thank all their family, friends and neighbours for sharing their wonderful memories of Carl and being so supportive during this difficult time.
A memory bench has been placed on Sandy Beach Road in his honour thanks to the generous donations from our Myles Bay family. It provides everyone the opportunity to sit and enjoy the great view of Lake Huron that Carl loved so much. Please also enjoy the Youtube video (https://youtu.be/WAzWgsHFdX0) of the Memorial Tribute that our great neighbours did in Carl’s honour – this will always be one of our greatest memories and the reason we will love to continue to call this wonderful community our home.
