The Tobermory Marketplace opened for the 2024 season on May 22 with vendors offering local seasonal produce, lavender products, honey, beeswax candles, fresh baked pastries, cookies and desserts, fresh coffee, tea, wooden cooking utensils, artwork, cards, spicy and chocolate covered nuts, dog treats and with more items available as the season progresses.

Smokey Golden, a vendor offering fresh produce, butter tarts and muffins, is back for the second year of the Marketplace, says the Market is still growing and hopefully can attract more clientele as the event gets more well-known.

This is the second year of the Tobermory Marketplace, with many of the vendors returning for the 2024 season. Last summer, the Tobermory Marketplace started as a pilot project by the Tobermory Chamber of Commerce. Interested vendors can contact Anthony Pettit – Coordinator, Tobermory Chamber of Commerce & Tourism Information at 519-596-2452.

A mid-week opportunity to stock up on favorite and unique items, both the vendors and patrons enjoyed the leisurely pace of the artisan market. Local musician Dan Corcoran promises to play music on a less windy Wednesday.

The Marketplace will be open every Wednesday in the summer from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Head St at the Ball Diamond.
